“The most glamorous and artistically distinguished of country-house opera festivals.” The Daily Telegraph, 2009
Ever since John Christie and his wife, the soprano Audrey Mildmay, realised their dream of opening an opera house in the grounds of their Sussex home (an hour south of London) in 1934, Glyndebourne Festival has maintained its commitment to world-class opera. Quintessentially English and a highlight of the international arts calendar, Glyndebourne tickets are much sought-after.
Booking for remaining tickets opens to the general public on Saturday 27 February 2010. As a member of the Brunel University alumni group, we would like to offer a special priority booking period from 8am, Monday 1 February to 6pm Friday 26 February for the following performances:
Wednesday 26 May Benjamin Britten, Billy Budd
Friday 16 July Giuseppe Verdi, Macbeth
Sunday 1 August Engelbert Humperdinck, Hänsel und Gretel
Details of all the operas in the 2010 Festival and information on all the other activities undertaken at Glyndebourne – from our pioneering education programme to the Glyndebourne on Tour festival - can be found on our website: www.glyndebourne.com.
To take advantage of this exclusive offer, please call our Box Office from 1 February on +44(0)1273 813813 and quote 5776. We would urge you to book early to avoid disappointment.
We hope we will be able to welcome you to Glyndebourne this summer. |
