From 15th June – 12th July 2009 a group of Brunel students spoke to more than 2,000 alumni about what they had been doing since they graduated and to inform them of what has been happening at Brunel since they were last here.
From 15th June – 12th July 2009 a group of Brunel students spoke to more than 2,000 alumni about what they had been doing since they graduated and to inform them of what has been happening at Brunel since they were last here. The student callers also asked alumni if they would be willing to give something back to benefit current and future generations of students at Brunel, by donating to the Brunel Annual Fund. Over £70,000 was generously pledged, of which over £56,000 has been received. This will go towards scholarships, student awards, the Library, and other student projects. Additionally, the Government matched funding scheme will increase this amount by 50%, which is incredible.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to one of our students. They loved to hear what Brunel was like in years gone by and were also very appreciative of the advice they were given. Sarah Essien, one of our most enthusiastic callers said:
“It was interesting speaking to alumni, enjoyable seeing what they were all up to, as well as getting careers advice”
Thank you also to those who chose to support the Annual Fund. Your generosity will make a real difference to the lives of Brunel students today, and in the years to come.
